Ok so last week I put a new peice of bogwood in and today I noticed my little con had a nex territory on the wood then I watched her a little and then she did like a dance or something.
First she bit the end of a fake grass plant then pushed it forward then pushed it back then she went to a smooth part on the wood and rubed her belly on it and then she seemed to be trying to fan something like when they make nest then her fins started moving faster and faster then
She did something similar to this when I first got her and her mate but this is so BIZZAR
could it be because of the big firemouth male

I had a female con once and she laid eggs with no male in the tank. I think what you are seeing is normal. Some females will lay eggs with no male in the tank. So I wouldn’t worry about it, it’s normal.

very true many females will lay eggs with no male present, as for clearing out a nesting site and moving the plants around very typical cichlid behavior, I have pretty much given up on trying to keep a decent aquascape for the fish as usually the plants end up floating on the top of the tank.
