I'm going to be setting up a marine tank soon and will be keeping some easy corals. My current hood is the Jewel Monolux 60 wich currently houses 1x 15W T8 tube. This is not nearly enough as to what i will need in he future, so i need to know how to change it.

Is there a large Watted T8 tube that might be ok or do i definetly have to change it to T5. If so, how?

You just bumped a 75min old thread, its good policy to wait for the thread to drop off the first, if not second page of the forum until bumping.

Hi betta, you really don't have to bump in the marine areas, we will always find you :good: don't worry

If the tank was mine i would replace the ibar and fit t5 - it's not that expensive, then later if you want more lights you can either add another ibar, metal halides or LEDs

some fantastic little plug and play canopies out there now, even with combined small halides if required...can be costly though
