I may be interested in converting my freshwater to salt. I've had it set up for freshwater for about a week and a half. Can I re-use any of the freshwater stuff if I clean it out? What other stuff do I need? Basicly, what needs to be done? Thanks for any info.

Most of what is used in FW is not needed for SW. The filter will become pretty redundant, except possibly for chemical filtration. All the main filtration is handled by the Live Rock and a Protein Skimmer.

The lights should be fine if you do a FOWLR but they will not normally be of any use for a reef.

most people use resins and carbon, so I don't think the filter will be redundant, but tbh everything else will except from tank, stand lights ( only if you do FOWLR, if you want corals then they are useless as well)
