Control My Guppie Family

I have too many guppies and they are breeding like rabbits, i leave the fry in the tank and 50% dont make it, but its now becoming too crowd with them. I did have 2 angel fish that all most competely wiped the population out, as they eat nearly all the fry and as the adults died natually were not replaced. Since a tank accident i lost the angels and not replaced.



Can anyone suggest a fish that will keep the guppies at bay,but not completely wipfe them out, also will not eat my baby cherry shrimps or attack other fish. Is there even such a fish?

Why don't you just keep all male guppies? and either put your female's in a seperate tank or take them to your LFS? That will solve any future pregnancies.

That's a very specific request to make of any fish. Baby cherry shrimp make a far easier meal than a baby guppy. If its edible and fits in their mouth, a fish will eat it!

You're going to have to keep only males, or rehome the babies as they get older, or cull them when they're born.

If you have the room I would add some more fish maybe some tetras , that would keep numbers down.
