I admit I have been remiss in preparing peas on a regular basis for my swordtails. Probably because the first time I made peas for them they utterly rejected them, the second time they kind of half heartedly picked at them and spat them out and gave me mournful looks like wanting to know why they were being punished. Even my corys weren't interested in them.
I noticed this week that all my swordies seemed to be constipated and trailing a couple of inches of poo behind them so I decided to give the pea thing another try. Surprisingly, this time they jumped all over the peas and made total pigs out of themselves. Well, except for the corys, they still aren't interested. So I watched them eat their peas and waited to see if there would be any change in their poo. 12 hours later I now have swordtails swimming around with fat pale green poo trailing behind them! Let me tell you, that was a bit of a shocker! I mean, in all the posts I've read where people recommend peas no one has ever mentioned what the outcome would look like. They've got like 2 inches of the strangest looking poo I've seen trailing behind them now, so I have to ask, is this normal?
