long story short my little sister bought 2 cons for her 55,and she would like to add more of a different cichlid.
She wants to know since the two convicts are both female would it be safe to get two angel fish or two fire mouths or would it better to just get a few more convicts.

She really wants to have an all chichlid tank with two of multiple species. Iam sceptical of the idea but iam not an expert on the more common pet store chichlids.

I had cons with my angels and they lived perfectly fine. The angels always stayed to the top of the tank while the cons stayed near the bottom trying to get busy, because they were a pair. They should be fine.

u seem to be a Gourami Lover and a friend of mine had 2 gouramies living with 5 - 6 cons if you would like that instead. they also were fine

Are the convicts a breeding pair ?
Because if you have a breeding pair of convicts it would be wise to just leave them on there own as convicts are agressive little cichlids but they only become agressive when breeding if they are not a breeding pair you could try them with some geophagus cichlids they grow to around 6" or maybe a Salvini also around 6" Or if you wanted to be ia little more adventureus you could go with one Jack Dempsy cichlid they grow to around 8" but out of all the medium to small cichlids these are proberbly the most pugnacious hence it's common name. It is entirely suited to small er cichlid comunities if kept with Firemouths, Convicts and Salvini cichlids.

Both Convicts are female.

Earth Eaters eh? I never would have thought of them, but I dont think any fish stores around here carry them. :/
