Hello I have one 14 gallon tank and 1 7 gallon tank I want to use the same water from the 14 gallon so I only need 1 heater and 1 filter.

please help I dont want any pvc pipe I just need help

i dont think it will be easy
I can't think how to do it :dunno:

The only way this will work is if you can put the water 'in' in one tank and remove it from the other tank with the heater in the water flow between input and output points.

This could really only be done with an external filter.

HTH

The only way i can think how to do it is by getting two external filters with the same water flow rate and put one intake from one filter into one tank and with the other filter put that intake into the other tank and do the same with the outlets of the filters, Its a bit risky as if one filter is a little faster than the other that tank will overflow!

I hope you understood all that LOL !

there are a number of way to do it...

are the tanks at the same level?

if they are (eg the water lines are the same) then you can do it with a bit of pipe between the tanks.

you'll need an external filter that removes the water from one tank and puts it back in the other. the tube linking the tanks will need to be big enough to let the water through quickenough so that the water can level out between the tanks.

if they are on different levels, you will need to get the highest tank drilled with an overflow hole. that will then link to the lower tank. and again one external filter taking water from the lower tank and putting it back in the higher tank.

IMHO - not worth it on tanks that size. a 2nd filter and heater will be a LOT easier.
