Congo Tetras Or Rainbow Fish

Hi,
I'm relatively new to the fishkeeping game (kept them as a kid years ago). I have a new setup, 3 foot 180L juwel vision. I was hoping to add a shoal (6) of either congo tetras or rainbow fish to the tank when its matured. At the moment i have 8 danios and a pair of dwarf gouramias in a not overly planted tank with bogwood, hoping to add a few corys and maybe a few platys. For a relative newbie which fish should i pick (don't want to bite off more than i can chew or overstock).

PS i want a harmonious community tank!!

Ihave never kept rainbows but do have 3 congo tetra in a 4ft.Ideally I should have another2/3 but I never can find any
I must say that they are a really peaceful fish.Theydont bother anything else in the tank.They are however slow to settle in to a new tank and will be quite nervous for a good while.They do like to have plenty of open space for swimming.Mine are also well over 3 inches.
