Ok my Severum is 7 inches my green terror 7 inches they both live with juvenile Colombian red fin tetra 1 inch in size yeah they are in a largish group of 13 with fully mature adults so a little safety within the group but never have they had threat of been eaten .. the larger cichlids just not interested.. yet they will swallow a 2 inch prawn whole ! How does that work do they know fish are friends not food and wait for food ? Or I missing something ? Not that I want my Colombians to be eaten but evidently they could be but there not any thoughts on what’s going on here ? Am I just being lucky ?

Maybe the sev and GT are just lazy?...lol

Why chase food down, when I don't have to?
Good point I can’t catch them with two nets and I do feed regularly, maybe it’s just not worth while for them to eat them

Colombians are pretty fast, too, when they want to be...

Fastest fish in my tank by far , just confused me that my fish can eat food bigger than other fish they live with , I expected no space for error after a smaller Oscar eating bigger fish in the past , just hoping my luck rides out

Best case scenario is to have another tank to move the Colombians into if trouble arises.
