Confused? Do U Need A Heater?

Well I was just thinking. I have a 10gal tank and I was wondering If id need a heater or not?
why do u need a heater? I thought that fish dont really care what the water temp is unless its really hot or really cold?

yes tropical fish need to stay between 72ish to 78ish or they will become very open to sickness such as ICK or Hole in the head

dont think gold fish need a heater...

I heard that goldfish needed 20Gallons per fish, mite be wrong tho

Really? No way! I only have a 10 gal but my goldfish are very small.

Goldfish absolutely need 20 gallons, and for two, you need about 30 gallons. Though they are small now, they need the room to grow, or they risk organ compression and ammonia poisoning. So, please try to get a larger tank as soon as possible. My goldfish were only 1.5 inches when I moved them to a 30 gallon. In under a year, they have grown to over six inches, and that is considering my mom origionally kept them both in FIVE gallons.
