The instructions on melafix can read two ways, either you add the amount and then do water change daily every time you add it, or you add it for 7 days, then do a water change after the 7 days (as per usual)....

which is correct??

If you have to preform a water change while using melafix you just add the correct amount of melafix back to the water removed.

that's easy enough....I had to do a water change the other day as now I have a little ich trouble too......next stop...a new heater!

Ich looks like the fish has been sprinkled in salt.
Turn temp up to 30.
Increase aeration with the high temp and med.
Remove black carbon if you use it.
Best to treat another week after spots have gone.

yeah i had the best instructions from little-fizz just need to get a heater that lets me get above 26 degrees C.....bloody juwel!
treating with salt too :)

Most of juwel equipment isn't that good, though the glass tank is well made.
Only use salt if you have no scaless fish.

Good luck.

All fish seem to cope with salt very well :) :good:
I hope you mean by all you mean all of your fish, not all fish. Thats very untrue.

Good luck with your treatment.

Drew

I did indeed mean all of my fish....not all fish in general...as i understand it for instance scaleless fish can't be exposed to salt :)
