Condensation Trays?

my rekord 60 . 24" by 12" has a crap hood that came with it with a 15watt t8. i am soon going to upgrade to, 2 clip on 11watt t5s. seeing as im getting rid of the hood my tank is open at the top, will a condensation tray fit to just the tank? as i dont want my cat making a tasty treat of my fish.

Was looking to do something similar myself, mate of mine reckons any local double glazing place will sell you glass sheets cut to size.

i only want to buy a cheap plastic one as i cant afford glass.(the paper round only brings in £15 a week) how would i fit it

Eh? You are talking about the plastic condensation trays that just sit inside the tank? No fitting involved, just put them in there - that sort?

well how do they fit on they tank do they sit on the sides? clip on? use attachments? just the plastic ones about 3-5 quid. its only to stop my pesky cat making a meal of my fish
