There's no way I'm able to afford $30 hoods for my 10 gallon tanks, so I wanted to use condensation trays instead. Petsmart does not seem to carry them, so where could I find them? I think I read in a post on here that plexiglass or something of the sort could be used instead, so where to go about purchasing a condensation tray alternative?

Thanks

Home Depot will cut sizes of plexiglass for you. I'd recommend a heavy sheet (1/4"), as it heats up with a light on it and tends to bow a little. Remedied by flipping it over each week when doing water changes though. Plus mine was a 30 g long with a ridiculously heavy light fixture... That didn't help any!

Thank you for the quick reply. ^_^

As for the light fixture, I'm not going to have a light on either tank, since they are both being used for breeding purposes. I take it the sunlight (indirect) and the fluorescent lighting in my room will be enough for them. :p
