Just a quick question:

can i put a betta in with a swordtail and danios?

I once saw a betta in the danio tank, at Pets&. It was being eaten alive. Swordtails can also be quite nippy, also they are fast, non-stop swimmers that move rapidly around the top half of the tank- they'd stress a male betta out.

It depends on the size of the tank, if you have a large current going through it, if the betta has enough places to hide, etc.

Well I personally would say yes... however, like xJake says, make sure you have a large tank and there is enough hiding places... it may be better if you get a female betta? They are just as stunning as the males, but without as much aggression.
