Compatibility?

Ok, does anyone know if Rams are ok with discus and Angels? Or are the nasty fin nippers that would terrorise my tank? Ive also been looking at a couple of spiney eels to stir up my sand a little, are these ok with discus or am I being silly?

they will be fine very good togetehr but if u all ready have anglefisha nd discus where are the rams going to go??? u need big tabk for three types of cichlid also discus very hard to look after..

Discus are not hard to look after. While not a good fish for the new hobbiest they are reletively easy. The domestic bred are the easiest since they have been raised in varying water conditions. They have adapted. Wild discus are a bit more of a challenge.

aernympha, my tank is about 300l 48x21x18. I hope this is big enough? I have 2 angel and 2 discus ( Iknow I should have more discus). Knucklehead right by the way. Discus aren't that hard to look after, just require a little more TLC, but the rewards are good. Discus have to be the freindliest fish I know, mine feed ut of my hands all the time.

What about the spiney eels? anyone know anything about them?

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I'm going to be getting a betta for my empty 10g. I know that will shock everyone but it's true. Kirsten was always talking about them so it made me want to get one.
