alrighty guys...so about a week ago i got a ten gallon tank, got sand, instant ocean, and the measuring insturment...made it perfect for flounders because my lfs told me they got a whole bunch of them and i wanted two...so today i went to pick them up...and theres one left...you can imagine my dissapointment...so i took one and got 4 ghost shrimp because ive read there compatible...ive watched and they just walk across him as he burries under the sand...so tommorow im supposed to get the other...anyways lol...i was wondering can an apple snail about almost an inch long go with these guys...im afraid of it just rolling right over my little ones...thanks!!

Jared

p.s. can a snail impregnate itself..i think thats asexual forgive me for my dumbness...because i do know that they carry male and female parts but that was just a quick question...thanks!

Most flounders in the hobby are brackish fish that need salt in the water and apple snails do not tollerate salt well. There are however lots of other snails that do just fine in brackish water.
