Hi

I am pretty new to the aquarium world but i must admit i didnt realise i would enjoy it as much as i do. My problem is what type of plants to buy. First of all i bought some cheaper end plants which are showing in the picture but the fish are eating them and there will be nothing left of them pretty soon. What are the best plants for my 90 litre tank. I only wast around 4/5 in the background. to grow taller rather than spread. Also i have an external filter so the outlet is on one side of the tank and i dont wat to block this but i would like to disguise it a little. Also what is the best way to plant them i.e in pots, foam with lead around them etc,

The two plants on the left aren't aquatic plants and will rot eventually in your tank. I'd remove them first and foremost.

Vallis gets tall and is quite easy to keep, I think I can see some in the back left corner of your tank. Other plants you could read up on which would potentially do well are Java fern, Mosses, Anubias and some of the hygrophilia species.
