I have a 96L (approx 25 gal) and i currently have: 4 guppy, 5 Neon tetra, 1 Plec.
I'm looking to add a few more, colourful, playful fish. Does anyone have any ideas of compatable tank mates? and how many?

I was thinking of a few endlers or panda corys, but i'm not convinced.

I love gouramis myself. I have a big blue colored one he is slow and graceful but remember they can get four unches in size.

I would say you could comfortably fit 2 dwarfs in a 96L, but not sure about 3. You say your tank is approximately 25 gallons, I was told 30 gallons would be sufficient for 1 male and 2 female dwarfs, so its your choice as to whether you think 3 are suitable for your tank. :)

I see what you're saying, I think i'll do further reading and see if they'd prefer to be kept in pairs or maybe groups of 3.

Yeah, you mite have some trouble with your plec if its a common plec :S

I would deff go with corys. you could try some of the other types like, peppered or bronze if you dont like the albino cats :)

I'm not sure what my plec is to be honest, a leopard frog or something i think:

I've had no problems with him and any other fish though, not even the neons. Of course, he'll grow eventually. But im prepared for that.

I would get rid of the guppies, they need more alkaline and harder water than neons and the pleco.

You could add some more neons, 6-8 more would add some extra colour to the tank. 4-6 female bettas could work too, if you want a centerpiece fish.

firehead/rummy nose tetras would be good  . (added a group of seven to my tank yesterday as it happens)

these fish are constantly active and shoal wonderfully
