Compatability Questions

My mum keeps fish, and she's had a bit of an emergency, so she's asking if I can babysit her fish.

She wants me to briefly keep 2x silver sharks, and a small group of tiger barbs.

I have 5 cockatoo cichlids, and 5 peppered corydoras in a 3 and a half foot tank.. Will these fish get along?

Probably not.


The Bala Sharks will most probably stress out the other fish with their fast swimming, especially in a 3 & half foot tank.

And it's probably not a good idea to mix Cockatoo Cichlid (longfins) with Tiger Barbs (nippy) either. And the poor corys will probably get picked on. Any idea how many Tiger Barbs she has?

not bala sharks, silver sharks.. but they are fast. But I thought silver sharks were mid - top dwellers? If so then their fast swimming shouldn't affect the cockatoo cichlids and the corydoras. Am I wrong?

And the tiger barbs could be a nuisance I suppose, they're coming from a tank with angelfish and kribensis in, and they don't harm them, so maybe they're docile individuals?? I'm guessing she has about 6.
