Many thanks to The Wolf for suggesting that I put my five very aggressive dawn tetras in with my two Koi angels. I transferred two gold rams, that were already in with the dawns, at the same time and they are much happier since it is a bigger tank and the dawns are less often close enough to attack. The dawns are also slightly intimidated by the angels - who spent several hours hunting them. The smallest dawn has, in fact, disappeared - but I'm not sure whether he was eaten or is just in hiding! The tank is well planted.
For my next question .... can anyone suggest a few more companions. As well as the angels, rams and dawns there are two ottos in the tank. The tank dimensions are 67.5cm x 32cm x 45cm high. Bearing in mind that the dawns have been moved three times now, having picked fights with: tiger barbs, pearl and zebra danios, glowlight tetras, honey and sparkling gouramis. The dawns stick to the middle and top of the tank (except when dive bombing a ram) the rams spend most of their time picking around at the bottom and on bog wood etc; the angels (who are still quite young) glide about all over looking fierce - but seem to have given up on the idea of lunching on (any more?) dawns.
Anyone any ideas?
Thanks
