Companions for Blue Rams

I have a new 45 gallon tank in which I have six Congo Tetras, two Pearl and two Dwarf Gouramis with a male and female Blue Rams (Dutch Rams). Would two Bolivian Rams make good mates for them and should they be male and female also.

I tried that in my 20 gallon tank, 2 pairs of ram, one bolivian and one german blue

i had to give away the bolivian rams to snowyangel here cause the male was a realy bully

she rehomed them in a 50 gallon tank with other cichlids and they are fine now.

Bolivian rams are more aggressive than the others so don't make good tankmates. Try something more peaceful and less cichlid

Perhaps not something so territorial, especially since they are likely to breed and become even more aggressive.
