Companion For My Angel

I have had a pair of Angel's for over two years now alone in my tank. Recently, one of the Angel's died leaving my male with no one else in the tank save my Pleco. I am looking for advice from others on when, what or if I should bring in another Angel or other fish. I chose not to replace his companion right away due to the amount of stress he was under.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think you should even think about trying to add another angel. They can be a very aggressive fish to their own kind once htey reach sexual marurity. Unless you are very, very lucky (like a 1,000 to 1 lucky) your existing angel will kill or injure the newcomer; it sees the whole tank as it's territory now.

The only way to get a pair of angels that will live together happily is to buy 6 or 8 youngsters and let them pair off themselves and your tank is far too small for that. In fact, unless it's some very odd shape I can't imagine, your tank is really too small for angels anyway; they should grow to the size of your hand and be a foot tall.
The tank should be a minimum of about 3 feet long and 18 inches tall, so more like 30 or 35 gallons.
