Can I add a betta?

thay can get along with most fish, so tell me what ya got in the tank and i'll give ya a straight up yes or no

Well new 55 gal 26 neon tetras 5black skirt tetras 2 dwarf gorami(a mating pair) and 6 cherry barbs.

Id say no mate neons can be nippy and so can gourami afaik!

neons fin nip, so a no no

gouramis are from the same family as bettas and a betta could mistake a gourami afor another betta,

buy a 5 gallon, and a small sponge air filter, and bobs your uncle, and heater of course

i agree with that above, if you want one get at least a 5gal with a single male, if you go for say a 10 gal you will be ok with a few select tankmates

Both types I suppose
Zebra Danios aswell I guess?

Oh why oh why do bettas have to be so good looking yet horrible little sods

Mines in a 2.5gal at the moment while I stare at a fully lit empty 15gal.

yeah danio's are a no due to fast swimming and fin nipping

i know what you mean, bad lil community but they make up for it in personality, they win your heart

So Corys (which im fine with) and maybe White cloud minnows are about it?

That sucks! Maybe ill end up being stupid and buying a nice 5 gallon job for my betta then tomorrow, who knows!

there are a few others, but in the end depends on the indiviual betta,

Harliquins are normally good, as are plecos, sometimes shrimp too

Problem is I suppose you cant really tell what there like till youve bought your fish and got them in there can you!
