Fish Fanatic
Morning all,
Not sure if this is the place to post this, but maybe someone on here can help me with a little problem. Since the birth of my little boy 10 weeks ago, finding tank maintenance time has become very very difficult; I can just about manage with my marine set-up, but my small community tank is looking a little neglected - water quality is fine as I've kept up with changes, but the decor could do with some work and there's a cyano outbreak that I can't get rid of...
Regrettably, I'm therefore taking the decision (aided by my other half, who has her eye on that corner of the living room for baby's play-pen) to shut down this tank until I can give it the regular attention it needs and deserves. This leaves me with the small problem of what to do with the inhabitants:
5 penguin tetra
5 cherry barbs (1 male)
1 black neon tetra
1 panda corydoras
up to 3 otocinclus (I can only see 1 today, but that doesn't mean the others aren't there)
~12 tank cleaning shrimp - couldn't swear to species, basically colourless/white with a bit of striping down the back
If anyone is willing to provide a home - collecting from London SW18 - they're yours free of charge. With a tub of food thrown in. And any other freshwater consumables that won't be consumable in a year or two's time (or more?).
Yours in some sadness
Paul
