My crappy diagram is below, as I can't photograph these semi-transparent shrimps to save me wee little life:

I am fairly sure that I just bought 7 Macrobrachiums for my 10gal tank. :X

They were sold to me as feeder "ghost shrimp". :X :blink: :huh: -_- I wanted them as a mini cleaning crew, and my research told me that "ghost shrimp" were peaceful little guys who were generally short lived and delicate. Macrobrachiums are not. -_-


I am going to start demanding latin names for every single purchase I make, soon. I declare.

If it has anything resembling a claw with a serious "business end" to it... one that looks like it could be used to catch a fish, for example... get it out of your tank. It has that claw for a specific evolutionary reason... catching prey (i.e. your fish). Your guess of Macrobrachium is probably pretty good, but a pic would really help.

yer i think dat it would be kinda dangerous if it isnt a host shrimp ???? lol im no expert but i thinmk it would be
