comet goldfish

Hi I'am new here, and I have a question about Comet goldfish.How many can live in a 20 gallon tank the rectangle kind. Because the ladie at the pet store said 5 but some one told me 2 so what do you think?

Welcome to the forum.

I think 2 goldfish would be very comfortable in your tank. Comets are fine fish, and if you give them lots of room they can grow quite large.

I always think it's better to have just a few fish and take excellent care of them in the best conditions possible than to have too many crowded together. If they are small, they might not look like very much now, but in a few months you will see a big difference.
