Do you think a shoal of Neon Tetras will survive in a 55g tank with 6 bala sharks?

I'm thinking of a way i can take the 6 neons i have out of my 10g and have a huge school of them in the 55g. problem is there are 6 big silver sharks in it.

55g isn't even big enough for the bala sharks in the long run, so by the time the balas get to big for the neons you'll be needing a MUCH larger tank anyway so sure put the neons in the 55g, but know that you'll be needing a MUCH MUCH larger tank when those balas start getting bigger.

the sharks will grow to about 2 feet so should be taken out and put into a larger tank or be sold.so with out the balas yeh, with the balas there would be no need to feeed them for a day or 2 ;)

handsomeboy, off-topic, but your signature mentions snails, in particular your inability to get rid of them - have you tried putting a slice of cucumber in the tank? Apparently (I've never tried this) in the morning it will be covered with snails - you can just take it out and bam! no more snails (unless you have so many that you have to do it a couple of times!).

there are six balas - 3 small ones and 3 big 6" ones from a friend.

im probably gonna buy a new tank.

and no, the cucumber thing doesnt work. neither do spinach, lettuce, or carrots.
