I have wanted one for AGES!!! and i need a new home for my angelfish (i want to use their tank as marine),

I have 3 angels 2 medium and 1 bit smaller, would they be OK in a tank like this?

What kind of filter could i run on this, i have a spare fuval 3 if that could work?

THanks

Well i was thinking abou that, i could use a magnet algea cleaner for the glass and just change water from the top, Depending on what substrate (if any), i got i i would have to get a massive syphon?? I really dont know, well its only 3 fish so i spose it would only be a monthly substrate clean and weekly WCs.

something like that

they had one of those at my LFS, and it involved someone getting very very wet to clean it....

Me (and my dogs) dont mind getting wet, i get saturated cleaning my normal tanks Haha!
But would it be OK for my 3 angels?

My LFS has one of those except its really wide! It has to be at least 4feet in diameter and about 5 feet high and they have angelfish in theirs.

So there's an example for you. I would be careful that they angel fish have enough air and can get to the top quick if they need because 6 feet is really far up to go for air.

I don’t think it would be suitable for angels. I think those columns look really great but they are not really suitable for fish, some small fish would be okay, its just that mostly fish move back and fourth and angels would wouldn’t be able to move much. I can imagine male guppies being okay in it, they are small and are happy enough moving up and down. Just my thoughts!

It would work, but pretty badly. For instance, filtration? Getting enough oxygen into the water? Heating? Decorations? Removing dead fish? Plus the price will be astronomical once the auctions over- a tank big enough for three angels will cost you £100 tops.

would look cool i say...but definately i would look at getting a valved put in the bottom part to drain it easily. but dont know if it would weaken it all?

Hmmm.. im going to think about, because i really lik the look of them! I will keep you guys posted on my decition.
Thanks for all your help

Thanks

I can understand the attraction for some; but surface area is a preference for me.
