It seems that my guppy fry have different color patterns.

One of the ones I can see has the red and black coloration, yet two others have a black triangle with yellow blotches.

Question: Is it possible for a female to be impregnated by one male adn use a sperm packet from another male to fertilize eggs so the batch has fry fathered by two different males?

I would like to know the answer to something similar in regards to Mollies. I have had batches of fry that look DRAMATICALLY different from the rest. Anyone know if a molly or guppy can have fry from 2+ dad's at a time?

I'm making a guess when i say this, but I think it's possible due to the fact that livebearers store a males sperm for numerous months right? Therefor when she has her batch of fry, there's still more sperm present inside of her. Then, say, another male mates with her, there you go, two different sperm inside one female. Therefor I think it's very possible in my "expert" opinion . :D I also think this explains why there is different sizes of fry when they're born (some sperm were present longer in the womb than others).

I guessed the same thing. Apparently that's the reason, but there might be another explanation...
