color of swordtail

i have a question--

will my swordtail fry look exactly like their mother? or will there be color variations eventually??
i was told that they will have the same color as their mother when they are born, but will they stay this color?

Yes, unless your female swordtail breed with a different coloured male. Then mabye some for your fry will be different coloured otherwise they will be all like your female... exept for the male fry with will grow longer tails ect.

well I'm not sure what she breed with. So i guess I'll have to wait this out and see what I'll have
