Color Change

Hello everyone new to the forums, I have a quick question, I have 2 female bettas in a 10 gallon tank with 4 platys, recently I noticed that they randomly change colors from white/blonde to dark blue, is this normal? I had no idea bettas could do this and the color change happens within a minute.

stress or panic or bad water conditions can wash out their colors good, my pastel pink betta turns death white if stressed.
