I have an ACF who is at 2inches long, and has just been moved to a 10 UK gal tank from his old 3 gal one.

I now want to get some kind of "cleaner" fish in, to help keep his tank cleaner - they're quite dirty, ACFs. I keep my ACF at room temp, so are there any COLDWATER cleaning fish which I could put in with him?

As well as withstanding room temp, the fish must also be capable of living in a 10 gal tank, and be more than 3in long so that Pinky, the ACF, will not see him as food.

What do you recommend?

Hi Samage :)

I keep snails with my frogs and it seems to work out well. I have a big old golden mystery snail and a ramshorn snail in my tank and they do a good job.

Is 2" the total length of your frog, or just the length of its body?

How about "Hong Kong Plecos"? (not a true pleco, actually a kind of loach)

They're darn good algaevores and are fun to watch shuffling around on the glass.

Done a little research on the Hong Kong Pleco, It's more commonly called the 'Spotted Hill Stream Loach' in the States. Gets to a maximum of two inches.
Here's a picture.

Our LFS has them now at £1.50 each.

There are a few different kinds of hillstream loach, including common, chinese, spiny head, spotted and more.

I have 2 kinds and they have different temprements.

Also called a Borneo Sucker or Borneo Sucker Fish
