okay so today i went out and bought a heater but i bought a 200w heater for my 57 litre tank the reason is because in april im buying a 200 litre tank so instead of buying two heaters i just went with a bigger one in the pet shop i was told that it will do my 57 litre tank i have atm i wanted to make this tank tropical because i have two baby guppies that i want to put in there. so basically i was wondering what should i do in terms of putting in the heater should i just put the heater in and turn it up to the correct temp ? 24 degrees our what should i do ? also will my fish survive the Temperature change??

Fish:
2 goldfish
1 PLC
1 white cloud minow
1 Siamese algae sucker
1 eel sort thing

P.S i know this tank is overstocked that is why im buying them a 200 litre tank in april

i also have a 15 litre tank if this changes anything not cycled but has filter

If you have the ability to monitor the tank very closely, put it in the tank and plug it in and turn it on the lowest setting to see where that starts you off. From there, if it isn't already too warm, just make very small adjustments every couple of hours to slowly warm it up. If you can't monitor it, put about 50L or so in a tub and turn it on and come back every now and again and see how the 200W heater affects it.

Wont a heater that size take up a great deal of real estate in your tank though?
