Cold water breeding ideas?

There's a wide range of cold water fish that can be used for your pond in the shed. Rice fish as already stated do well. WCMMs are also suitable for lower temps.
I’ve decided I’ll be breeding WCMM. Am I right in saying that I should start with a group of around 6 WCMM’s in about a 15g tank then remove fry once hatched into separate tank? Or is there another way I should be doing this?

Well i haven’t tested because I don’t have the shed yet. But where I live sometimes it gets to minus 3 degrees celcius. Obviously it wouldn’t be that cold in the shed but just for insight
Perhaps white clouds, rainbow shiners or pygmy sunfish.

That number would be fine...
