I just can't resist a bargain........particularly where fish keeping equipment is concerned.

I learned of a coffee table fish tank that was going for very little money as it was in a bit of a state....I thought I could have a look at it at least....and did....original thread here:

(BY THE WAY, this all happened earlier last year).

Now...I know the majority of people don't like these tanks....but hey.....he only wanted silly money for it.

Here is a pic of what I picked up from a 1st floor flat: (and yes, we had to take it down 2 flights of stairs).

Now...all that time ago...I didn't really have a reason to keep it...so thought I would resurrect it and stick it on Fleabay.

...and here it was a week or so later...(it had cold water fish in it when this photo was taken as we were re-digging the pond)

The reason for this post........well.....if you check the original thread.....I forgot to reply to The Wolf about how the renovation was going......

...so ......to conclude...it went well, the tank sold and is now living somewhere in London.

Feel free to air your views on this type of tank........

i think it would look cook and a grate topic starter, but i would be worried about spooking the fish every five min's, or do you think the fish will get use to people that close a lot of the time?

I'd forgotten about this tank.
glad you made a small profit (assuming you did)
and that you no longer own it.
worried that the new owner has crammed if full of goldies :/

Yes Paul, I had to have a wrestle with my conscience about this one......

....I did make a very small profit (well...some money went into paypal....which got spent on fish stuff :) ).

....what I tried to make sure was that the filtration was adequate.....I did give the new owner some pointers in regard to filtration and fish keeping.

It was a fun project.....and I can't resist the "interesting" aspect of this type of tank.
