I had a male and 2 female cockatoos but one of my females has turned into a juvenile male!! I have no tank to separate other than a 30 litre hospital tank.

Can a male cockatoo live without any other cockatoos and could i have him with a few dither fish in a 30 litre or is it too small?

I wouldn't personally do it, 30 litres is around 7-8 USG, which I think is on the small side for this fish.

I used to breed my Apistogramma cacatuoides in a 30 litre tank.
He should be fine or if you have a community tank, put him in there. It's best to give him some company, be it dither fish or another of his own kind. It stops them going nuts and becoming agro.

He's very small at the moment. He would be in a 30 litre with 6 cherry barbs and 4 frogs. Unless they look too squashed once i get them in :/

Thanks

he will be fine in with the cherry barbs. Just make sure you do regular partial water changes and everyone should be happy
