Hi there,

I am considering buying a Fluval CO2 kit like this one, and can get 88g airgun cannisters from ebay as a cheaper source of CO2, however how long do the cannisters last? I will be using the CO2 on a 225l aquarium that is heavily planted.

Thanks,

Mark

Thanks - have been looking at vids on you tube of how to set it up, looks like a much better long term solution. Have you bothered with a solenoid to sync the CO2 with the lighting?

nah my lighting just goes on at night usually for a couple of hours, my tanks in the conservatory ya see so gets a decent amount of daylight all day anyway so didnt see the need for a solenoid as i can just switch it on in a morning and off on a night
