Hiyas!
Due to an algae explosion in my tank I'm cleaning it out in about a week so I'll take out a pair of guppy fry and a pair of snails into my Joe's Ark (a plastic tub) and scrub the tank clean :D
However when I was looking how to solve my algae problem I read I should increase my Co2, how do I do this?
Thanks,
Joe :)

right, where do i start here.

are you injecting any co2 into your tank? (from DIY or pressuized sets) - if so what are you using? and what legth is it on for and whats the bubble rate.

are you dosing any fertilisers? (if its a planted tank)

what wtaage and type is your lighting? and what is the dimension and volume of the tank?

Algae is not just caused to due lack of co2. It arises when you do not have much flow around the tank (stagnant areas), and when one or more factors is limiting plant growth, so there become an excess of nutrients availible to the alage, causing to to spread faster.

I'm not injecting anything into the tank. It contains about 4.3 gallons of water and is 10 x 10 x 10 inches in size.
It's some sort of algae that doesn't stick on the side but sticks to the plant and spreads through the water. On a website I found it suggested to clean out the tank and add Co2.
Thanks,
Joe :)
