Hi Riverman,

Suggest you read this thread. Ive personally got two, not started using the DIY mixture yet, but Jimbo knows what he's talking about so would suggest you give it a go too.

The big bonus with these kits is that you get all the kit you need in one box, so if you do go the DIY mixture method, the only thing your wasting is the sachets that come with it.

Is also depends on the size of your tank, I'm not 100% sure but a single unit only really does the job on a 70ish liter tank, any more any your going to either need two kits or get a pressurised system.

Have you read the pinned threads? Would be worth reading these before you venture into CO2.

Check the DIY forum for DIY CO2.

You can buy the ladder by itself for cheap and use that as a diffusing method. This will save you alot of money since the "refill" packs for the casnister is pretty expensive.

Edit - BTW it doesn't have to be this complex, I would have thought you could just use the fermentation bottle on its onw without all the rest.
