Hi Guys,
Still new to CO2 injection so taking things slow. Hopefully you can help on a quick timing question!
My Current light times are:
09:00 - 14:00 On
14:00 - 16:00 Off
16:00 - 21:00 On
21:00 - 09:00 Off
CO2 I planned to have running an hour before lights came on so 08:00.
1st Question what time should it go off?? Should it be an hour before lights go off or at lights off??
The reason I asked is, I am using a solenoid on a timer. Last night I had the CO2 running for about an 1 1/2 hours just to try and get the bubble count right using the needle valve (I got it set to about 1 every 3 to 4 seconds just to start off with, will up later). Anyway I set the timer to go off at 21:00 yet bubbles were still being dispersed for a good hour after, by which time I closed the bottle!! Is this usual with a solenoid?? I understand that gas would probably still be in the tubing but how long does this last?? Maybe I dont have the solenoid set up correctly??
Any help appreciated.
James
