hi guys i woke up this morning to a graveyard in my tank....ive kept fish for many years allways succesfully.
But this morning i had to fish out about 12 dead ones...the only new thing i have done is added a couple of co2 tablets to my sump filter to try and boost the plant growth, and was wondring if this would dramatically alter the ph levels as they were low when ive checked..any help please????

I've not heard of any tablets that you put in the water to provide CO2, I've heard of O2 ones for when your sending fish.

Although with a quick look on google shows up these saying 1 per 200l of water. Even then it says putting it in the substrate rather than the filter itself.

If it was a co2 tablet that should of been put in the substrate, I would of thought that in the filter it dissolved quicker and therefore gassing your fish.

Adding co2 will lower your pH but shouldn't be anything to be worried about.
