I have a 125 litre and I am getting more and more plants. I am understocked with fish. I plan to start feeding with ferts and so I would need CO2, right?

Has anyone any experience with the above device and would recommend it?

Talked to customers using them at work, they are crap.

DIY yeast fermentation is far better. See here to make your own: http://www.plantedtank.net/articles/DIY-Yeast-CO2/7/ .

Or here is a cheap ready made one, and a guide to using it: http://www.charterhouse-aquatics.co.uk/catalog/hagen-nutrafin-co2-natural-plant-system-p-2433.html http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=164548&st=0

Though more expensive, pressurised CO2 is by far the best (it's a far more stable CO2 source, basically resulting in less algae).

See here for pressurised kits: http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/dd-complete-co2-set-p-649.html

But while CO2 is mostly always good for tanks even if you have low light, you may not "need" it. Basically the more light, the faster the plants photosynthesise and the more demand they have on nutrients (carbon from CO2 or otherwise included).

What lighting does the tank have? You can likely get away with using a liquid carbon source (such as SeaChem Flourish Excel), which is more expensive in the long run (but not very expensive for a 125l tank anyway), but simpler to use and may have a mild algaecide effect. Use with caution if you have shrimp though IMO.

And thats basically your best CO2 options :).

125litre tank is too large for DIY yeast method to work well. CO2 concentration will undoubtably be unstable and too low, therefore causing algae. DIY should really only be done on tanks up to 15gallon in my opinion.
Liquid carbon would be much better. More than 60W of light and you'll be looking at pressurized Co2 system.
