Thanks for the reply Mr G. I am at the moment waiting for a reply from the Health and Safety Executive about regulations etc. You are right about freezing the smaller bottles, it helps to pack the gas in at a lower pressure and allows the correct weight to be obtained. i would of course keep an eye on the weight and turn it off at 500g. As to the purity of the CO2, that is something I will research once I find out if I can legally do this. The filling that I will be doing is at home, however, I have heard of someone near Hove, who apparently goes round the shops with a bottle on a trailer behind his bike !!!! Now if he can do this legally, then surely I can have a bottle secured in my garage to refill bottles via a filling station lol. We shall have to wait and see as this will be a way for me to top up my CO2 and for it to also pay for the upkeep of my tank. So hopefully it will work out.
