My system came with a bubble counter... is there a certain number of bubbles you are supposed to get?

It depends on many variables i.e. tank size, amount of light, plant density, water parameters etc. 1 bubble per sec should be ok in a 35G.

I've let it run for a while now - 5 or 6 days now, and I am only getting maybe 1 bubble every 30 seconds *maybe*

Here's what I have:
35 gals, 60w of light on for approx 11 hours. I have a good number of plants... amazon sword, val, java fern, hygro polysperma, annubias lanceolatta, a crypto and some grass.

Water is ok... low pH 6.2ish (went down after the CO2. 6°kH, 9°gH, ammonia is a touch high at about .15 ppm. Nitrates 3ppm and nitrites 40ppm.

Any thoughts on how to make it bubbles faster?

- edit - just got home from work and it is up to 1 bubble every 13 seconds. Maybe it just takes some time for the mixture to get to full capacity.
