Hi guys, i am using a pressurised co2 system at the moment on my planted discus set up, and i use a diffuser that has internal fins and is powered by a power head attached to the top circulating water throughout the unit to help dissolve the co2 and then dispel it out thru a tube at the bottom.
What i would like to know is, is it posible to send the co2 thru my external filters without killing my biological media, causing a gasous lock within my filters and will it be sufficiently dissolved to keep my plants alive.
I am asking this as my discus really dislike the fast water the powerhead generates thru the diffuser..
thanks.
mike.

I was doing this for some time however the external Eheim Pro2 would keep on getting airlocks.... Why not place you diffuser under your spray bar?

Or just get a external reactor

This hermetically-sealed external reactor ensures more efficient CO2 delivery by mixing water and CO2 through and around its Bactoballs before diffusing it into your aquarium. This means more CO2 will be dispensed into the aquarium and less will escape out the top of the aquarium. Saves on your supply of CO2; you'll fill less often.

basically it's just a inline to your output line of your canister filter , co2 gets disolved through here and exits your output nozzle :0
