Wow thanks for the quick reply.looking now.

Well if i get one like that (not enoguh money at mo) you would have to help me on how to set it up! ^_^ (

Those prices seem high to me however, I am converting Pounds to CDN$. I should think that you should do a little looking around. As far as the disposable cylinders are concerned I would stay well away from them. They are undoubtedly the most expensive solution to the acquisition and storage of CO2. I have included a link to a site on Aquatic Plant Central. This is a primarily US board and the link is to Rex Grigg's site. He is truly an authority and he sells CO2 "stuff" from bits and pieces to complete systems. His equipment is trustworthy, practical and proven. I am not necessarily saying you should buy from Rex gut, getting your knowledge level up will make your decision much simpler for you. The tour through Rex's treatise will enhance your knowledge level and will also put you in a position where you can question intelligently and make an informed decision that is based on solely your circumstances.

I have also included a link to a treatise on CO2 and the planted tank. Too much information is not necessarily a good thing however, no information is a disaster relative to decision making.

If you want some more references, please feel free to P/M me.

I forgot to mention, if you Google DIY " CO2" etc you will find a myriad of information that is not necessarily totally relevant but, the information will add to your knowledge base.

Maybe my maths is awry, but the CO2 regulator and solenoid seems no cheaper from Rex Grigg.

Do you use 3/4" connectors in N. America? I notice that he uses a spanner to tighten the regulator to the cylinder whereas over here it is recommended that finger tight is sufficient. The tightness of the nut does not provide the seal.

Secondly, does he do 50Hz solenoids? The US ones will be 60Hz.

Cheers, Dave.
