CO2 Diffuser

Hi

I have seen that people uses a CO2 Diffuser when having plants, but as stupid as it may sound I don't understand what is it for and if I actually need it !!!

I currently have like to medium sized "Egeria densa" plants (more like 2 single branches) and I'm planning on starting to grow erect moss or some other type of moss, so will I need to have a CO2 Diffuser???

I don't know if the lights also have to do with this diffuser, I currently have like the minimun level of lights that come with the tank.

hey there c02 is really needed if you have medium to high lighting and if you have a aquarium filled with plants without c02... the plants would reach a point where they would stop growing and maybe even start to weaken

but it all depends on the lighting... the more the light the higher the need for c02 and other fertilizers its a really tricky balancing act IMO

kinda like if you exercise more then you need more carbs... something like that
