hey guys!
i bought a Nutrafin CO2 kit today - and have set it up
i have the canister behind my desk is that ok? or do i have to clip it to the tank?

also, how long before it starts to work? a little info would help :)

- another thing is i have a air pump which i dont know when tp put on - is there a time the plants dont take in c02? thanks!

Wwll it should take about a day to go through i think. It will be working by morning for sure i guess. Well i dont think its a good idea to put the air pump on at all now as this will cause alot of surface aggitation and you will loose alot of co2 from this.

Well acually its a good idea to put it on at night as both fish and plants use O2 at night.

If you've got the canister much lower than the tank, you should be careful about it syphoning the water out of the tank into the canister. Maybe place a one-way air valve in the line somewhere.

Also, if you've used the packets that came with the nutrafin set you'll be waiting for ages for it to start working. They are practically useless and it's much better to use your own yeast / baking soda. Check the date on the back of the yeast that came with the set - mine was already out of date. I only used one packet that came with mine, which i threw out the next day and have been making my own mixture ever since.
