I know it would be really stupid to do but couldnt you get Co2 in your water by blowing into a straw directly into the water for like a few minutes? I dont plan on doing it but am wondering if it would work.

Someone asked this a while back. The amount of CO2 you emit isn't nearly enough to get what you would need for a planted tank. I don't know the calculations, but I don't think it would be even worth testing.

Think CO2 when breathing goes from 0.04% in normal air to around 4% when the air is breathed back out. The biggest problem with doing this is that any CO2 you do manage to get into the water will quickly leave it and so the level in the tank will drop back down, that's why we have to constantly inject CO2 to keep it at the right level.
