Co2 And Air Bubbles

hi i was thinking about planting my tank and noticed that a lot of people use co2 is this necessary. also it said that air bubbles wouldnt be a good idea because it releses co2 but to my understanding fish need some sort of air bubbles for oxygen, can anyone help me.

It is really only necessary for tanks with 2wpg and more. Putting air bubbles into the take actually reduces the amount of co2 due to surface agitation. If you wanna learn more try checking out the pinned topics.
